Colibri continues to expand Near-Surface Silver-Lead-Zinc Mineralization at Ramard Project, Sonora, Mexico.

Colibri Resource Corporation has received assays from percussion drilling of an additional 22 percussion drill holes (RPD11 – RPD32) in a minimum 50 hole program on the Ramaje Ardiente (Ramard) Project in Sonora, Mexico. The Ramard Project is held by an option agreement to acquire 100% ownership of 8,419 hectares made between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV, and a private Mexican company. Exploration focus is on approximately 4 square km of skarned and hornfels in Paleozoic sedimentary rock in proximity to felsic porphyry intrusive rocks. The project covers the old “La Bronca” silver mines. All the holes were drilled vertically into skarn beds that dip 15 to 20 degrees thus drill invervals reported represent near true widths

Silver, lead and zinc mineralization has been confirmed by drilling over a strike length of the skarn more than 800m long with a minimum width of 100m and a stratigraphic interval of at least 33m. The mineralized zone remains open in all directions (see News Releases of June 12, 2006, January 25, 2007). Mineralization is present in part as oxide form and part as galena and sphalerite with pyrite. Drilling is planned to continue after a two week break period.

Results include:

 
  • RPD15 cut 307.2 gpt silver (9 ounces per short ton), 6.6% lead, 13.69% zinc over 1.5m between 3 and 4.5m depth.
  • RPD17 averages 48.4 gpt silver (1.42 ounces per short ton), 0.21% lead, 1.4% zinc over 18 meters, the entire hole. This includes 238.6 gpt silver (7 ounces per short ton), 0.1% copper, 1% lead, 6.18% zinc over 3 meters between 3 and 6 meters depth.
  • RPD18 averages 31.7 gpt silver (0.93 ounces per short ton), 1% lead, 2.2% zinc over 24 meters, the entire hole. This includes 130 gpt silver (3.8 ounces per short ton), 0.1% copper, 4.55% lead, 6% zinc over 4.5m between 3 and 7 meters depth. The hole was terminated in 15.9 gpt silver, 0.7% lead, 2.07% zinc at 24m depth.
  • RPD30, cut 9.3 gpt silver, 0.17% lead 4.16% zinc over 7.5m between 10.5 and 18m depth.
  • RPD31, averages 42 gpt silver, (1.2 ounces per short ton) 0.4% copper, 1.12% zinc over 10.5m, the entire hole. The hole was terminated in 22.7 gpt silver, 0.37% copper, 1.6% zinc at 10.5 meters depth. Table of Drill Hole Results.

    Silver is reported as gpt, grams per metric Tonne, copper as parts per million, zinc and lead in weight percent.

    Gold is not usually assayed due to low concentrations anticipated in this geologic setting. Between 0 and 1.5m depth in hole RPD23 1.5m interval contains 0.127 gpt, gold, in the same hole between 10.5-12m a second 1.5m interval contains 0.109 gpt gold. Tungsten is typically between 10 and 50 ppm and ranges from less than 5 ppm to a high of 1370 ppm. In hole RPD18 between 0 — 9 meters averages 474 ppm tungsten.

    Air track percussion drilling utilizes a surface air driven hammer with 2.25 inch wide bit and associated compressor. Samples are typically 5 kg of rock chips over 1.5m intervals. Each sample is split on site with a Jones splitter and half of the sample taken to Sonora Sample Preparation Lab, Hermosillo, Mexico, and then transported to Vancouver,B.C. by International Plasma Labs. The remaining half of the bagged sample is stored in Hermosillo for archival purposes.
