Colibri updates drill programs at the Ramard and Colibri properties, and grants Incentive Stock Options

Vancouver, British Columbia – April 17, 2012. Colibri Resource Corporation (“Colibri” or the “Company”) (TSX.V-CBI) is pleased to update exploration activities at the Ramard property near the town of Carbo and at the Colibri project located approximately 40 kilometers north of the city of Caborca in northern Sonora, Mexico. A 2,000 meter minimum diamond core drill program started at the Ramard Project in early March. To date, over 1500 meters of HQ core have been drilled at the La Bronca and El Gato locations.  Drill core is being processed in the nearby town of Carbo and is being assayed at Inspectorate Exploration and Mining Services, Ltd. lab in Richmond, British … Continue reading

Colibri Intersects Disseminated Gold Mineralization in Reverse Circulation and Percussion Drilling on the Colibri Project, Sonora, Mexico

View News Release in PDF Format Colibri Resource Corporation has received assay results from an 11 hole (C08 series) 2,346 meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling program for its Colibri Project, Sonora Mexico. These initial targets were further investigated by an additional 1,161 meters of air-track percussion drilling completed within 33 percussion holes (NAPD series). Two areas were drill tested which included the Naranja Zone and the San Francisco mine area. A drill map and complete list of hole locations and assay results are available at http://www.colibriresource.com/s/Colibri.asp Drilling was targeted across several northwest-southeast trending structures associated with broad intervals of highly sheared and fractured rock. Host rocks consist of hematite-flooded breccias … Continue reading

Colibri completes drilling on Leon and Colibri Projects

Colibri Resource Corporation has completed diamond core drilling on the Leon Project and reverse circulation plus percussion drilling on the Colibri Project, Sonora, Mexico. On the Leon Project 21 core holes were completed, 3837 meters in total, plus 59 percussion holes totaling 1502 meters. All cores hole have visible sulfide mineralization including pyrite and chalcopyrite. Seven holes were drilled on the large copper-molybdenum soil anomaly referred to as the Variedad Zone (see figures at colibriresourcecorp.com). All seven of these holes contain visible pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican … Continue reading

Colibri initiates reverse circulation drilling program at the Colibri claim site

Colibri Resource Corporation (Colibri) is pleased to announce the start of a 2000 meter minimum drilling program at our Colibri claim northwest of Caborca in Sonora, Mexico. The Colibri claim is held by an option agreement to acquire 100% ownership of 6564 hectares made between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV, and a private Mexican company. Exploratory drilling is mostly focused on down-dip and along-strike projections of historical underground mine workings and targets identified by an Induced Polarization geophysical survey. Previous drilling of these targets during 1994, 1998, 2005 and 2007 yielded significant gold mineralization (see prior news releases posted on www.colibriresourcecorp.com). Layne Drilling of Hermosillo … Continue reading

Colibri receives assays from core drilling on Colibri Project that confirm coarse gold (“nugget”) effect.

Colibri Resource Corporation has received assay results from 2152 m of diamond drill core on the Colibri Project, Sonora Mexico.  As described in more detail below (see also Tables 1-2 and maps posted on www.colibriresourcecorp.com), drilling intersected multiple anomalous intervals that returned gold assay values ranging from 25 ppb to 3.08 grams per metric tonne.  Total thickness of these anomalous intervals is 424 m.  Assays from selected anomalous zones indicate that conventional analyses of crushed samples (less than 150 sieve mesh) systematically underestimate the gold content of samples. Many samples greater than 150 mesh sieve yielded markedly higher gold assays than corresponding fine grained powders, an indication of coarse grained … Continue reading

Colibri Resource Corp. Completes Core Drilling and IP-Resistivity Survey on Colibri Gold Project, Sonora, Mexico.

Vancouver, February 15/CNW/Colibri Resource Corporation has completed a diamond drill core program and IP/Resistivity geophysical survey on the 6564 hectare Colibri site, a historic gold mining district in Sonora, Mexico. The Colibri Project is held by an option agreement to acquire 100% ownership between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV, and a private Mexican company. This property lies within the same metallogenic province and is on strike with the Newmont-Peñoles La Herradura open-pit mine, Mexico’s largest gold mining operation. Hecla Mining Company’s Noche Buena gold property, now undergoing final stages of open-pit feasibility study, is located ~20 km to the northwest. Exploration at Colibri focuses on … Continue reading

Ongoing 3-Dimensional Structural Analysis and Mineral Resource Evaluation on the Colibri, Ramard, and Leon Properties, Sonora, Mexico

Vancouver, January 22/CNW/ Colibri Resource Corporation has contracted Dr. Jonathan Nourse (B.Sc. Colorado School of Mines, 1983; PhD. Caltech, 1989) to carry out a detailed 3-dimensional analysis of the geology, structure, and mineral resources on three company properties in Sonora, Mexico. Nourse will integrate his ongoing geological mapping with the latest results from drilling, surface assays, and IP/Resistivity surveys. His focused work will guide Colibri in their planning of new drill targets within the structurally-controlled mineralized zones that exist on all three properties. The study areas include a promising gold property (named “Colibri”), an extensive silver-zinc-garnet scarn/porphyry property (“Ramard”), and a silver-molybdenum property (“Leon”). All three mineral concessions are centered … Continue reading
