Colibri Resource Corporation acquires the Colibri, Ramard and Leon projects, and completes ground magnetometer survey of Leon Project

Colibri Resource Corporation is pleased to report that the option contracts to acquire the Colibri, Ramard and Leon Projects have been officially exercised and 100% of the mineral rights for all of these claim packages have been legally transferred to Minera Halcones SA de CV, the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri. The Colibri Project consists of greater than 6,000 hectares encompassed by 6 separate claim titles. This large land package is within the prolific Sonora-Mojave Megashear belt, a large scale structure that includes more than 5 operating gold mines and numerous prospects. The Ramard Project is a porphyry-skarn project that encompasses 4,000 hectares of mineral claims in the central Sonoran porphyry … Continue reading

CORRECTION FROM SOURCE-Colibri Resource Corp.: Percussion Drilling

VANCOUVER, August 27 – A correction from source is issued with respect to the release issued Monday at 9:35 am ET. In the headline, rhenium concentrations of up to 2,530 ppb were intersected, not 2,830 ppb. This is also corrected in the accompanying text and table. Also, drill holes LEPD 84 and LEPD85 dip at -60°, not the -45° shown in the table. The correct release follows: Colibri percussion drilling confirms and expands high grade molybdenum on Leon Project, core check assays show rhenium concentrations up to 2,530 ppb intersected over 2.0 m. VANCOUVER, August 25 /CNW/ -Colibri Resource Corporation is pleased to report results of new percussion drilling and … Continue reading

Colibri percussion drilling confirms and expands high grade molybdenum on Leon Project, core check assays show rhenium concentrations up to 2,830 ppb intersected over 2.0 m.

VANCOUVER, August 25 /CNW/ -Colibri Resource Corporation is pleased to report results of new percussion drilling and analyses of rhenium from core samples previously reported on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico. Azul Zone Drill Highlights: Core results for the Azul Zone were previously reported (June 11, 2008) for LEDH18 (72 meters of 0.195 % Mo between 22 and 94 m) and LEDH17 (72 meters of 0.120 % Mo between 0 and 72m). Ten percussion drill holes have extended known mineralization to greater than 250 meters in strike length and a minimum width of 120 meters. Mineralization is open along strike to the east and west and down dip to a … Continue reading

Colibri intersects 72 meters of 0.195 % Moly within widely distributed molybdenum-copper porphyry mineralization on Leon Project.

Colibri Resource Corporation is pleased to report results of core drilling on the Leon Project in Sonora, Mexico. Twenty one core holes were completed, 3837 meters in total. All core is HQ diameter. Core recovery was generally excellent, 90-100%, except for the initial 10-20 meters of holes that encountered oxidized, friable material. Core Holes 15 through 21 were targeted across large scale, east-west trending, steeply dipping structural zones that correspond with prominent molybdenum and or copper soil anomalies (see drawings at www.colibriresource.com/s/Leon.asp). Drilling focused on three mineralized zones: Las Amarillas precious metal zone (to be reported in a future news release); and molybdenum-copper anomalies exposed at La Variedad and La … Continue reading

Colibri completes drilling on Leon and Colibri Projects

Colibri Resource Corporation has completed diamond core drilling on the Leon Project and reverse circulation plus percussion drilling on the Colibri Project, Sonora, Mexico. On the Leon Project 21 core holes were completed, 3837 meters in total, plus 59 percussion holes totaling 1502 meters. All cores hole have visible sulfide mineralization including pyrite and chalcopyrite. Seven holes were drilled on the large copper-molybdenum soil anomaly referred to as the Variedad Zone (see figures at colibriresourcecorp.com). All seven of these holes contain visible pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican … Continue reading

Colibri continues drilling on Leon Project, soil anomaly expands

Colibri Resource Corporation is continuing core and percussion drilling on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico. This project presents multiple drill targets, including mineralization associated with 4 separate clusters of artesanal underground mine workings. The Amarillas, Tramado and Bellota zones are former producing precious metal mining camps and the Fortuna zone is an underground molybdenum-copper working. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 5,800 hectares of mineral concessions Ongoing soil sampling has expanded the area of anomalous soils between the Amarillas Zone mine workings and the Variedad copper-molybdenum … Continue reading

Colibri core drilling cuts multiple intervals of gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc mineralization on Leon Project in first 2 holes.

Colibri Resource Corporation has received assays from core drilling of the first two holes on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico. This project presents multiple targets including at least 4 separate clusters of artesanal underground mine workings. Core drilling focused on the Amarillas zone, a former producing mining camp. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 5,800 hectares of mineral concessions. Drill targets on the Amarillas zone (see drill core location map posted at www.colibriresourcecorp.com) cut intensely altered sericite — kaolinite host rocks, quartz veins and stockwork quartz … Continue reading

Colibri percussion drilling cuts near surface gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc mineralization on Leon Project.

Colibri Resource Corporation has received assays from percussion drilling on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico. This project presents multiple targets including at least 4 separate clusters of artesanal underground mine workings. Percussion drilling is currently focused on the Amarillas zone, a former producing mining camp. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 5,800 hectares of mineral concessions. Drill targets on the Amarillas zone are felsic quartz porphyry dykes, intensely altered to sericite — kaolinite and cut by quartz veins and stockworks over exposed widths of 20-100 meters. … Continue reading

Colibri begins percussion drilling on Leon Project

Colibri Resource Corporation has begun drilling on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico using a track mounted percussion drill. This project presents multiple targets including mineralization associated with 4 separate clusters of artesanal underground mine workings. The Amarillas, Tramado and Bellota zones are all former producing precious metal mining camps and the Fortuna zone is a former producing molybdenum-copper mine. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of mineral concessions. Soil sampling has outlined an additional drill target, the Variedad anomaly, characterized by unusually high concentrations of molybdenum and … Continue reading

Colibri Confirms and Expands Cu-Mo Soil Anomalies and Acquires Rights to Internal Claim on the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico.

Colibri Resource Corporation has received assay results for an additional 186 soil samples collected from the Leon Project, Sonora, Mexico. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 3,400 hectares of mineral concessions (an additional claim of 3200 hectares has been applied for).
