| Jonathan A. Nourse, Ph.D. Director Vice President, Exploration Dr. Jon A. Nourse, Ph.D has conducted geologic field research in Sonora, Mexico since 1985. Dr. Nourse is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and in 1989 completed his doctoral dissertation at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) which described the geology and structure of the Magdalena metamorphic core complex in Sonora. He has produced several publications on Tertiary extension, Laramide contraction, and Proterozoic basement geology in Sonora, and is co-editor of the recently published Geological Society of America Special Paper on the Mojave-Sonora megashear. Since 1999, he has completed several reports describing structurally controlled gold deposits within the Sonora mineral belt. Dr. Nourse has been teaching geology full-time at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona for the past seventeen years. |
