Colibri completes drilling on Leon and Colibri Projects

Colibri Resource Corporation has completed diamond core drilling on the Leon Project and reverse circulation plus percussion drilling on the Colibri Project, Sonora, Mexico. On the Leon Project 21 core holes were completed, 3837 meters in total, plus 59 percussion holes totaling 1502 meters. All cores hole have visible sulfide mineralization including pyrite and chalcopyrite. Seven holes were drilled on the large copper-molybdenum soil anomaly referred to as the Variedad Zone (see figures at colibriresourcecorp.com). All seven of these holes contain visible pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite. The Leon Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 5,800 hectares of mineral concessions.

On the Colibri Project, a reverse circulation program of 11 holes totaling 2346 meters was completed, plus 1161 meters in 33 percussion drill holes. Reverse circulation drilling was conducted by Layne de Mexico, and sample recovery was generally excellent. The Colibri Project is held by an option agreement between the Mexican subsidiary of Colibri, Minera Halcones SA de CV and a private Mexican company to acquire 100% ownership of 6564 hectares of mineral concessions.

Colibri completed a total of 8,846 meters of drilling during the fall 2007-winter 2008 field season in Sonora. Reverse circulation, percussion and core samples have been split and delivered to Sonora Sample Preparation Lab in Hermosillo, Sonora. Assay results for more than 1500 samples are pending. "We have had an excellent drilling season and are anxious to compile and interpret the information gathered to date" commented Lance Geselbracht, President of Colibri. We are well positioned to start up again in October at our three claim sites with over two million dollars in the bank for exploration purposes.

Exploration was conducted under the supervision of J.J. Irwin, B.Sc., Ph.D., the qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 on this project.
