Ramard Leon Colibri Colibri Resource Corporation was formed with the explicit purpose to explore historical mining districts in Mexico. The company has the right to acquire up to 100% interest in 3 different projects in the State of Sonora. Each of these projects encompasses a former producing mine camp in excess of 3,000 hectares (6km x 5km). These districts all contain widely distributed mineralization that outcrops at the surface. Historical mining was done by following surface exposures of high grade vein systems underground. None of these mine camps have ever been explored by modern scientific geological and geophysical methods.

In the State of Sonora there are currently four operating mines that recently began production; La Herradura ( owned by Penoles-Newmont), Piedras Verdes, (Frontera Copper), Mulatos, (Alamos Gold), and Alamo Dorado, (Pan American Silver). All of these mine districts had histories of prior mining of high grade vein systems.

By application of modern exploration techniques, much larger mineral systems were "discovered" that are now being mined by bulk tonnage, open pit methods. The "business model" of Colibri Resource Corporation is to explore historical mine sites. The company's projects include; gold exploration prospect (Colibri), silver plus molybdenum prospect (Leon), copper-zinc-silver prospect (Ramard).
